Described by Austin Roberts in 1941, this is the most restricted of the 5 long-billed lark taxa. It is endemic to the W Cape’s Agulhas Plain. The background image depicts some Blue Cranes – South Africa’s national bird – in a stubble wheatfield.
This is available as a limited edition (set of 25) print, on high quality A3 paper. This image could also work in a series with the other four long-billed lark species, or even with the related Short-clawed Lark added. Each image is signed by the artist, and numbered. The bird’s name is penciled at the bottom left of the plate. Please contact me if you are interested.
